Dudhsagar waterfall is one of the tallest waterfalls in India and beautiful famous trekking destination among Indians and foreign tourists. Here you will find a reason to get lost in the beautiful forest jungle, and you will fulfill your trekking and nature lust. Dudhsagar means ‘sea of milk' because the waters fall in a massive amount from the mountain and it looks like milk.Depending on your luck, you will get a chance to see abundant wildlife of Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary that includes the Elephants, Tiger, Deers, Indian Bison, Leopards, Indian Rock Python etc. and Birds included the bluebird, three-toed kingfisher drongo, golden oriole, great Indian hornbill etc.

Itinerary : 

Day 1 – Saturday (Departure from Mumbai)

  • 02:30 PM: Reporting at Lokmanyatilak terminus kurla Railway Station .

  • 03:10 PM: Board Matsygandha exp  for Madgaon

  • Overnight: Train journey (sleeper/3AC class as per booking)


  • Day 2 – Sunday (Trek Day)
  • 02:25 AM: Arrive at Madgaon Railway Station (Goa)Freshen up, relax, at station

    06:30 AM: Breakfast (Poha/Upma & Tea)

  • 07:00 AM: Move to kulem by train 

  • 08:00 AM: Start trek towards Dudhsagar Waterfall (~12 km one way)

    • The route includes jungle trails, railway tracks, tunnels, and lush greenery

    • Multiple photo stops and water breaks

  • 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Reach Dudhsagar Waterfall

    • Explore the majestic 4-tiered waterfall

    • Enjoy the misty spray, take pictures, and relax (No swimming zone)

  • 12:30 AM: Begin return trek to Kulem

  • 04:30 PM: Reach base village and head for lunch (Simple veg thali)

  • 05:30 PM: Freshen up, relax, rest if needed

  • 07:00 PM: Board train from Madgaon to Mumbai  (MAO NGP SPECIAL . 

  • Overnight: Return journey via train


  • Day 3 – Monday Early Morning

    Important Notes:

        The trek distance is approx. 24 km (12 km one way)

        Participants should be physically fit for a long walk along railway tracks and forest trails

        No changing rooms/toilets at waterfall location

        Trek conducted under forest department rules

        No littering and no swimming allowed under the waterfall

        Subject to weather and railway permissions .

        (Officially not allowed to go on the bridge excess if the guards are not there then we will try to go on the bridge

                Cancellation Policy and Charges .

                Fees paid are non-refundable but transferable to another person for the same event.

                Refund will only given if organiser cancel the event .

                If the event is canceled due to any natural calamity, political unrest or other such reasons beyond our control the same cancellation policy will apply.

                If you are bringing kids, please understand the possibility of getting stuck or delayed. You might have to stay back due to heavy rains, floods, bus breakdowns, and rush at the trekking destination. You will have to wait it out till the weather clears.

                  Things you must carry on trek

                    Trekking Shoes - avoid heavy shoes. Wear lightweight but sturdy boots.

                    Raincoat - if you are planning a trek during monsoon, must carry a coat

                    Tents- if you are planning to stay on your own

                    Torch with extra batteries

                    Extra Clothes- take extra clothes and full sleeves clothes

                    Towel, Soap, Sanitizer

                    Bedding materials- blanket, sleeping bag (make sure your bedding materials are lightweight)

                    Rules and Regulations:

                      Alcohol, Smoking, or any intoxicant is strictly prohibited during the trek. If found, the participant will be terminated on the spot. 

                      Throwing garbage on trails is strictly not allowed. 

                      Playing loud music in the mountains/Forest is prohibited. 

                      Trek Leader's decisions on any particular situation will be final for the mutual benefit of the participants. 

                      During the monsoon season and various rock patches on the trek route, we recommend you to please take care while walking/climbing/trekking. 

                      If the behavior of any trekker is likely to cause distress or harm to themselves, our member of staff or other team members, reserve the right to terminate their trip at any time and they will have to make their own arrangements; we will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a result. We will not entertain any claims arising due to such action. 

                      In case of any injuries/illness on a mountain/river/waterfall during a trip/activity, jangala as a company or our local staff will not be responsible. We provide adequate human staff support in these areas to ensure the basic safety of the trekker. The participants must bear all the expenses that may arise in case of medical necessity or emergency conditions. 

                      Wearing any valuables, ornaments, jewelry, etc. is prohibited.
